Purato 10th year anniversary
Purato, the organic Sicilian brand by Stefano Girelli’s TWP Wines, celebrates its tenth birthday this year. To mark the occasion, the brand has undergone a complete make-over in terms of packaging, with the new strapline “Green to the Extreme”, perfectly encapsulating what Purato is all about:
o Certified organic
o Vegan friendly
o Certified Carbon Neutral
o Eco-friendly packaging (label, bottle, closure)
o 100% recyclable packaging
o 100% recyclable cardboard
The new packaging is impactful, memorable and gives a clear “green” message.
“We have worked on Purato for the last ten years, well before organic could be considered main-stream. We are genuinely committed to producing quality wines which have the least impact on the environment as possible and which are a direct reflection of their terroir – we have certainly not jumped on an organic band-wagon!” explains Stefano Girelli of TWP Wines. “Our aim with the new look is for Purato to become easily recognisable on the shelf as organic and fully sustainable – in other words - green to the extreme,” he concludes.
There are three wines in the Purato range, with an RRP of £8.99 and the outer case has the same striking colourful design as the labels:
o Cataratto/Pinot Grigio Terre Siciliane IGP
o Nero d’Avola Sicilia DOC
o Rosé Terre Siciliane IGP (made from Nero d’Avola)
Purato is distributed by North South Wines, whose Buying and Marketing Director, Joy Edmondson, comments: “Purato is an incredible asset to our portfolio as it is sustainable under so many aspects. With organic wine sales in double digit growth (24% in 2017 Soil Association 2018 report) and Italy performing very well across all trade channels, we are confident it will perform very well for our customers”
