Purato Catarratto Pinot Grigio in The Wine Spectator Top 100 Value Wines

17 Italian wines made it to the final cut in the 2019 'Top 100 Value Wines' list published this month by The Wine Spectator and our Organic Purato Catarratto Pinot Grigio blend has made it to the final cut!

Made in Sicily, Purato White is a blend of indigenous Catarratto and Pinot Grigio grapes grown organically on the island. The Wine Spectator critic wrote: ' This snappy white is lightly floral and fresh, with the flavors of kiwifruit, pineapple and Thai basil showing a subtle chalkiness.'

Re-launched in March 2019, after a well needed overhaul for its 10th year anniversary, Purato has gone from strength to strength with both new listings and increased Rate of Sales in existing distribution network.

We describe it as a 'Green to the Extreme' brand; not only the wine is certified organic but it ticks so many other sustainability boxes:

- vegan friendly

- lightweight bottle

- made of partly recycled or 100% recycled material (including secondary packaging)

- vegetable ink on labels

- 100% recyclable packaging

- carbon neutral certified

This week it has also been 'Commended' by The Drinks Business Green Awards for its succesful re-launch.

We have  just added an Appassimento (Siccari) and a Sparkling Grillo to the range which are already flying from the depot! Organic wine is growing well ahead of the market (Organic BWS +21% YOY according the Soil Association 2019 report) make sure to get a piece of the action and capitalize on this growing trend.
