Cruxland gin was launched about 4 years ago by South African winery KWV. It took advantage of the popular craft-spirit trend by introducing its own boutique-style handcrafted gin.
Sporting a leather cap and textured label, this craft Gin is made from 100% grape spirit. Infused with the elusive Kalahari truffle and eight other botanicals, including indigenous honeybush and rooibos, this premium Gin is made only in small batches and draws on KWV’s rich South African heritage.
At the time, Master Distiller Pieter de Bod commented, “We really wanted to create a Gin that was inherently South African. The rare Kalahari desert truffles which grow far apart and are difficult to find without the help of a skilled !N’abbas hunter were a natural choice.”
Since it has launched in the UK, Cruxland Gin has had numerous press coverage and appearances on weekend cooking shows. It is surprisingly smooth and always a crowd pleaser at consumers events.
