An integral part of being a B Corp business is producing an annual Impact Report.
It provides us with the chance to take stock and reflect on the progress we’ve made. We can highlight areas where we haven’t quite achieved what we set out to do and refocus our plans for the year ahead.
It serves an important function in helping us to maintain accountability and transparency across the business and supply chain.
We have been proudly certified as a B Corp since 2023, the culmination of 2 years of work involving restructuring, learning, measuring, litter picking—you name it! We embarked on this journey because we want to continually improve our business and our impact, and B Corp provides the best framework to do this.
We are signatories of the Harper’s Sustainability Charter which is designed to help galvanize, share and drive best practice throughout the drinks trade. We are also founding members of the Sustainable Wine Round table, created to accelerate sustainable action in the wine industry.
Together we can make a difference.
This was considered a top priority by all stakeholders and an area where we have the most influence.
We have assessed the environmental impact of all our business operations and re-evaluated our approach to own brand packaging. In addition, we have improved the way we communicate about what we are doing and our plans for making improvements in the future.
We have created a culture of collaboration with our supply base to encourage and even incentivise making positive changes through the supply chain. New suppliers must meet minimum standards and we work with every supplier to make improvements within the vineyard, reduce water, energy and waste usage, reduce environmental impact of packaging and formalize senior management commitment to sustainability principles.
We work closely with partners in our supply chain to gather information and create minimum standards for all stages. All supplies must sign up to our Ethical, Social and Environmental Policy, and own label suppliers must be a member of Sedex.
We discover and distribute great value wines that UK consumers will love.
The result?
A wine portfolio that will delight your customers and keep them coming through the door.
